Who don’t think I don’t know what the hell I’m doing. This customer outright lied to me. There is a problem with her database; I thoroughly tested over the weekend and found that either her database is corrupted; or she password protected it and forgot~ at least someone did. She emailed back telling me I didn’t troubleshoot correctly; and could I please pass the case on to someone who knows what they are talking about?
After testing her stuff over the weekend; I told her to try to reupload her database. She emails back; says she did and of course; and that this couldn’t possibly be the problem. I go in; take a look at the server; and the bitch didn’t upload squat! The dates on her files were exactly the same as they were on Saturday! Bimbo. Times too. I made sure to let her know that I didn’t appreciate being lied to; and that it wasn’t the support departments job to troubleshoot her issues. And I politely suggested that a programmer might be in order.
Tell me I don’t know what I’m doing.
Good thing I’m on drugs. I might have been really rude.
Being the wonderful person that I happen to be; I again troubleshot the bitchs issue. And; because I don’t like customers pissing me off; I made absolutely sure that I was able to prove the problem lies with her database. Shes trying to tell me that we are the ones that password protect databases. Wrong! We do as little work as possible. We only password protect a database if a customer is willing to pay for it; and she didn’t pay for it. Besides; it’s not necessary; she can do it in her script. I uploaded a handy test script and test database; used her settings; and wouldn’t you know it; it worked! I took great pleasure in replying to her telling her exactly what I did; and where to test it for herself; and no; I didn’t password protect the database in the odbc utility.
Tell me again? I don’t know what I’m talking about?
Bah!
