After fighting with my computer for the last few days; I decided that I needed a new harddrive. So; this evening I traipsed down to the local computer store. I had my eye on a Maxtor 60 gig harddrive, I don’t really need anything bigger than that; after all I do have two extra harddrives as second and third drives. Space I have. So I picked my poison and we were looking at cd roms for a friend.
I wandered back to the harddrives. I discovered a sign way up top advertising a Western Digital 80 gig harddrive. It was $80.00. *And* there were 2 rebates for a total of $55.00. $25 buckaroos for a 80 gig harddrive! Yea Baybee!
We decided we needed ink for the printer – considering it’s currently printing *gray* I would say so. There were no singles; so we opted for a twin package: one color and one black and white. There was mention of a rebate on the front of the box. Cool! More money.
Get the stuff home; open the ink box and there wasn’t a rebate, per se, but there is a coupon for a
digital camera. Don’t know how good it will be but what the hey!
Not bad for a nights shopping. And they tell me I should stay out of computer stores. HAH! We’ve completely decided against furniture – who the hell cares if it sags in the middle?? We want FLAT SCREEN MONITORS!
And the harddrive? Installed like a dream. I will never use maxtor again. The second and third drives I have installed are 40 gig maxtor drives; but they only show 30 apiece. I got almost all with the western digital.
