The power is back on! We thought we were going to have to wait till November 15 at the earliest to get it back on.

I’ve got pics that I took just before the power went out, before we started losing trees and part of our roof. I took the pictures because of the ducks huddled together in the wind. What a mess! There must have been 2 inches of water on the one bedroom floor. The whole room has to be rebuilt. Water poured thru the ceiling, thru the wall and downstairs.
One doesn’t miss electricity until it’s gone. The weather has been beautiful – I haven’t broken a sweat all week. In fact, we’re not even turning the AC back on – it’s that nice. Due to the heavy leakage – water just came in the front door like a flood – everything in my house is soaked. Talk about smell! Some of it we threw away, some I’m gonna try to bleach the hell out of. If not – we ain’t got no towels. I’ve been washing clothes by putting clothes in the bathtub and stomping on them, like one would stomp grapes.
