We made it thru ok; didn’t lose power, trees; or anything broken. Got real lucky in my area.

Now we just have to will Ivan away from us.

Interesting reading on More powerful storms

Considering we got hit with 2 hurricanes in one month; hmmmm…..

I hate these things. You bust your hump for 3 days getting prepared and it’s all for nothing. I am so tired. I finally gave up last nite at 11pm. I just couldn’t move anymore.

I just know it’s gonna fizzle. I would bet money on it. Frances can’t pee without the news knowing about it, lol.

So there’s no gas, no plywood to speak of and I would imagine no water at this point.

See; I got all of this stuff 3 days ago. Even food; and that was flying off the shelf. Generally; when I’m working, we make it a point to have extra water and canned goods stocked up at the beginning of hurricane season, so you don’t have to worry about *that* and the mad rush to the grocery store. Been there, done that, uh uh. There is no experience like being in a grocery store the day before a hurricane hits. Not pleasant.

So; we’ll finish up today. We’ll finish wrapping up the stuff inside and book it; not that I think we need to leave at this point. Mind you; I am not a meteorologist. I do take it seriously; but I’ll bitch about it the whole way.
